Why, you ask? It is hassle free as all nationalities are granted visa on arrival so say no pre-approved visas. Maldives is not too far by flight and the islands are absolutely gorgeous regardless of your view point. What’s your fancy? There were thousands of visitors to the island country during the same month it launched the rollout of COVID-19 vaccinations (February). The government aims to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations to all citizens and residents of the Maldives. They have also emphasized the importance of individual responsibility and caution even during this time of renewed hope. Workers in the tourism sector are currently being vaccinated to create an even safer scenario for the industry. The vaccination drive is aimed at ensuring the safety of holidaymakers.

Maldives islands are a bucket list destination due to its ethereal beauty. The tropical paradise which consists of many small islands, has abundant fish and corals and many other marine lives easily seen underwater. The beauty of the Maldives especially during these times is the “one-island, one-resort” concept. This means that social distancing whilst on holiday is easily achievable without any hassles. However, all travelers must satisfy the basic entry requirements to get immigration clearance upon arrival. They include a negative COVID PCR test done up to 72 hours before from your country of origin. Whilst at the resort, guests will undergo another COVID test 2 days prior to flying back. All tourists are required to fill an online health declaration form within 24 hours prior to departure from their country of origin/departure point.
